Newest Creations

I am so thrilled with the last 2 LO's I did! I just have to post! :)
The first one..."One Week" was made using the July kit from Just Cre8! I love this kit! I added the balck CS and the chipboard letters. Those butterfly stams are to die for!!

The second one "My Treasure" was done using MME Bohemia papers. It is based on a sketch I got off the Sisterhood blog! I just LOVE how it turned out!!

My news...

Well, I'm a bit late posting my fun news from last week... but here it is regardless!! I was chosen my the Sisterhood blog to be their sister of the week!! Wohooo!!! I just love this blog! You have to check it out... it's on my list on the side.... I was featured for the week of June 24th! I got to do a LO for them (posted here now) and give them 2 fun challenges! It was great!!

I received all of my goodies that I'd ordered!! MAN!!! Do i EVER want to scrap today!! That kit from JustCre8 is INCREDIBLE!!!!!! YUMMY is all I can say! I'll be scrapping some in the next 2 days due to rain ( WOHOOO) so I hope to post some LO's from it by the weekend!

I have some possibilities for Dt positions.... Can't update yet! :) I so miss being on a team! I'm hoping soon to have a new place to call home so to speak!

So, Off I go to have a nap... I'm SO overtired from the past few nights... camping and company! Sleep today, scrap tomorrow! :)

I've been Tagged!

I know, it's been too long since I've updated! Now I've been "tagged" and am required to update! LOL! So here I am... updating! :)
I have some fun scrappy news! I have had 2 layours requested by Scrapbooking Memories... the " Number One Scrapping Magazine in Australia!" WOHOOOOOOO! I'm SO excited!! I was expecting it to cost a small fortune to mail them, but it only cost $7.29 each! AND they each arrived in 11 days! Sheesh, that's faster than mail arriving here from the US sometimes! Gotta love the Canadian Postal Service!!

I have some FUN scrappy goodies on their way to me! I caved and ordered the July kit from Just Cre8! WOW!! It is AMAZING looking! I can't wait to get my hands on it! I also ordered $100 in goodies from Scrappers Island in their store closing sale! 30% off everything!! The next 2 weeks should be FANTABULOUS scrappy mail days! :)

I have been doing a lot of submitting to mags and bookd lately! Not really sure what got me going, but I'm hoping to have a couple of more toots in the next little while! I also have been looking around for another DT to serve on. I feel lost without a scrappy site to call my own! I need to find somewhere that needs me... LOL!

I also have another piece of exciting scrappy news... but I can't share just yet!! Soon though! :)

I have a few LO's done, but since they have been submitted, I'm not really allowed to share them! So, I will wait! However, I do have one that I can share...

I'm so sad!

Another Scrapbooking website and store are closing down! It's the site I design for... I tell ya, I have designed for probably 5 sites that ended up closing down! It makes a girl feel like she is to blame! LOL! No, I know life gets in the way, and that's just the way things go... but it is sad! I absolutely LOVE doing DT work... and as of the end of June... I'll be DTless!! I think it's time to start "shopping" around for another site that I love!!

National Scrapbook Week Layouts

I had such a productive and fun Scrapbooking week! I got a lot accomplished and even managed to win 3 prizes (RAK's) from Just Cre8.com!! Yay!! Here are a few of the LO's that I got done! I'll post more later! TFL!

Memories

Why do I scrapbook? I do it to preserve the wonderful memories that I am creating each and every day! From waking up to the sould of the kids laughing and playing... to kissing them goodnight and tucking them in! There are so many little things that I want to remember... My problem is that i don't scrap enough of these little things!! My word for the year was "everyday"... and I'm afraid I have not done a very good job scrapping the everyday! I need to remember why I scrapbook... not for DT's, not for winning contests, getting published or receiving praise! It's for the memories....

Bad blogger!

I'm So bad at keeping up with my blogging! I just can't seem to take the time to do it daily... or even weekly for that matter! LOL! I was always the same way with keeping a diary... very inconsistent! Oh well... I guess that's just a part of who i am! And some blogging is better than no blogging! :)

Mom and Dad got over to visit this weekend! It's the first time they got to see the baby... who is now 2 months old! We had a wonderful weekend! I got TONS of pics... took over 200 in the last few days!! Gotta go do some editing and check them out!!

Some recent work

Brrr.... it's cold outside!

Brrrr... with the windchill today it has dipped to nearly -40!!! Nice day to stay inside! And that's what I plan to do!! Maybe even get some scrapping done! :)

It's been a while, I know! I'm not the most consistent blogger there is! I guess I'd rather scrap than write about it! :) Anyway, here's what's new in my scrappy world... not much!
*I did make the ICS DT again! Wahooo!! I'm thrilled... we got our first kit and it just rocks! I've posted some of the LO's i did with it!
*I seem to have some mojo lately! I have gotten 8 LO's done so far this month! Great compared to the 2 I did in Dec! And I'm hoping to get lots more done before the baby comes!

Baby is due to arrive in 2 weeks, 6 days. Time will tell exactly when... but I'm in no rish at this point! Easier to take care of on the inside! :) LOL!

Go mojo!

I've had so much fun scrapping the last couple of days! I just have felt a bit of mojo there and had to take advantage of it!! :)
The first one... BLUSH was done very freestyle... which is very different for me! I think I kinda like it... but it's not something I'll do all the time! It was fun to do though!
The second one... "darling" was done using Fancy Pants rubons... MAN I love that stuff!!! I'm so in love with their goodies right now! and I really enjoyed doing this page! I applied their rubons to their chipbaord and it turned out so cool!!
Anyway... gotta go! Rolls in the oven that I don't wanna burn!!
Sent in my stuff to Fancy Pants.... and waiting to hear from ICS!! Time will tell!!!

Busy time of year!

What's new you ask? BUSY!!! Christmas time is always such a busy time of year! This weekend is our Christmas Canta at the church. Since I am the choir director and am also heading up the entire production... let's just say it's been a busy week and weekend! I enjoy it, but am looking forward to it being over as well! :)
An update on scrappy things...
*I did not make the OPAAT DT... but that's ok! The talent there was amazing, and a lot of other incredibly talented people did not make it either... so that makes me feel better! :) Not everyone can make it, right? They ended up taking 9 new members instead of the 4 they planned! It must have been such a hard decision!
*I have reapplied for my spot at ICS! I hope to make it... it is my online home and I'd be kinda sad not to be on the team... I should find out this week soon!
*I had a request to have my altered clock published in the Jan issue of Scrapstreet!! YAY! Gotta love new pubs!
*I received my prize for the prima contest! It was a plastic case filled with all different prima flowers and leaves... oh, and ribbon too! Very cute!

I have been wanting to scrap lately SO bad, but just have not had the time! I'm really hoping that this week I can scrap, bake, and get my decorating done! Then I'll be a happy camper!

Contest win!

Yay! I'm so excited! I got an email from www.cutabovescrappin.com and I won a contest that i had entered there! It was for using Prima Big Blooms on a layout! i won a $10 custom gift set of Prima goodies! YAY!! I just love Prima!! i hope they are goodies that i don't have!! :) Even if i do... I must like them!! LOL!

I have also submitted to a DT call at OPAAT... and they announce tomorrow. I don't think I have great chances... cause I think there are a lot of applicants! There is a lot of talent there... but I'd love to make it! Their kits are beautiful!! I'll post when I get the results!!

Birthday girl!!

I can hardly believe that Jaz will be 4 tomorrow! Where have the last 4 years gone!!?? She's growing into such a beautiful little lady! Sometimes she's not so perfect... but don't we allhave those times!?
We had a little party for her last night with her grandparents and us... we had her cake then too. She was So excited!! She opened up most of her gifts and just loved them! Now tomorrow I'm taking her and Rause-Lynn (her cousin and best friend) to McDonalds for lunch after church and then on to the movies to see Happy Feet! I'm looking forward to it! i hope they enjoy it!

Fancy Pants

I did it! I got some time to scrap this afternoon! I did so while the kids were napping... and as usual, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I used the Fancy Pants goodies provided by them for DT work for ICS. I now have 2 projects done using their goodies, and have now to do one using the Transparent Touches and Tags! The stuff they sent is just beautiful!

It's kinda neat that Fancy Pants is the sponsor for ICS this month... since it's also the time for FP's DT call! I can kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak! I know there will be about 1000 entries... but I'm really enjoying my projects I'm making... so it's very worth doing! Even with slim chances! :)

I submitted this LO to a couple of contests i seen at Scrap Submit as well... it fit just perfectly! I am a bit disappointed in the dark areas that my scanner made on this page... but it's a lot better than my camera would do that's for sure!... Looking forward to the new camera coming at Christmas!!!

Card Class

Hiya! I just finished teaching my Christmas card class tonight! It went over well! I'm pleased anyway and everyone went home with 6-8 cards done... so i think they are all quite happy as well! I taught them some cool inking and stamping techniques... which i learned some of at Scrap Gala! :)
I am hoping to get some scrapping done myself tomorrow! I have some DT work to finish up and would like to get to work on the 2 DT submissions that I'm thinking about... No pressure though... right?

My sanity.... it's gone!

Ok... it's one of those days I really feel like I'm loosing it!!! I can hardly make it thru today with the 2 kids i have... let alone adding another one in 11 weeks! Am I nuts?

I know they are just tired from being in Town Christmas shopping today... but so am I!! Give Mommy some slack, eh? And can I tell you how many people commented about me being pregnant? "You're brave"... or "You're sure going to have your hands full"... or just that look!!!
I feel like saying , "I didn't plan this one!!... but I am married if that makes things look a little better!" Sheesh... ;)

I can't blame them though... I probably have thought the same thoughts... it's just that now the shoe's on the other foot! :) And it's not fitting so well today...

Mojo is back!!

I'm so excited!! My mojo seems to be back! I know we all take spells where Mojo seems to go on vacation... well... mine has just returned!! WOHOO! I really think...... no, I KNOW that my weekend at ScrapGala was just what I needed! I needed the classes... I needed to meet those amazing teachers... and i needed time to scrap without interuption! Winning first place in the layout contest certainly gave me back my confidence as well :) I was so honored to be chosen by these 5 amazing teachers!! I'd take that over the 12 inch printer any day... call it an ego thing i guess!

I got the chance to do a layout today while Sammy napped... it was for ImagineCreateScrap using the SEI sponsor product for Oct. We were late getting our product... so I'm late posting it as well!
I'm really excited about some upcoming DT calls as well!!! Junkets is looking for a Canadian member... and Fancy pants is adding 4-6 team members. Not that my chances are great... but I really want to try!! I just love both of these companies and it would be a DREAM to work with either of them! So... Dream I will... as I will be applying for both! So... wish me luck!!!

Forever Ago!

I know it has been forever since I've been here! So long in fact that I had to go thru a bunch of stuff to recover my name and password! Pretty pathetic, i know!! Now for an update...

Yes, I'm pregnant... 11 weeks, 6 days to go! But the good news is, I'm feeling great... and have been able to scrap!! THANK YOU LORD!!!! I might not spend as much time doing so as I had before the pregnancy, but i am scrapping and enjoying it! That is a real answer to prayer let me tell you!!

I went for my first ultrasound last week and it was just amazing! Every time i am amazed... but this time, it was different! I have not been looking as forward to this one as i did the other 2... and I know that's aweful... but it was just so unexpected! I love the 2 i have... and no doubt I will adore this little one just as much! I really needed this ultrasound to help me bond with baby! It was incredible! I could see the face... eyes, nose, mouth, ears... even a bit of hair! It was just... unbelievable! And I am due a week sooner than i thought... ?! Good news? I'm not sure yet! LOL!

This past weekend I went to Scrap Gala in Moncton. All I can say is WOW!!! I will be posting more info on it later... but here are 4 LO's that I did this weekend... outside of the classes...

What's new!

It has been a while since I updated, so I figured I’d best do so! I have news.... I’m pregnant! Yes, that’s right... pregnant!! DS just turned one, and I’m already 2 1/2 months along. Am I nuts? I’m getting there!! This was quite unexpected... but I’m accepting it a bit better now! I know that this sweet baby will be a beautiful blessing... I just would have liked to wait another year or so. But, what will be will be, and I’m due on Feb 13th!!
Along that note... I am having a really hard time when it comes to scrapping again. When I was expecting Sammy, I couldn’t scrap... it literally made me nauseated! So for my entire pregnancy, I scrapped very little. I’m sad to say that this one is starting out the same. It’s SO discouraging... but I have lost my desire to scrap. I NEVER thought this possible, but being prego does STRANGE things to me! I’m really hoping that once this first trimester is over that I’ll be feeling more like myself again and will be back to scrapping a bit, even if not as much as I HAD been... which was daily! I just don’t want to have to give it up for 7 months... I get so far behind and loose a lot of my inspiration and all that. But, If I’m feeling like this, I won’t make myself do it. It’s a hobby... something I ENJOY... I don’t want to make it a chore!
I can hardly believe I am writing this!! Scrapping has been my pride and joy, my sanity, my love and passion for so long now! It kills me to be so “whatever” about it all!! I went from around 15-20 LO’s a month, to doing 1 in July... Ugh! Let’s hope in Aug that I get a few more done at least! :)
So... here’s hoping the next 6 months are healthy and happy.
