Hey there! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I am so excited to share todays projects with you! I had the fabulous opportunity as part of the Xyron Design Team to partner up with Teresa Collins! SQUEEL!! I absolutely ADORE  TC products! The collection I got to play with is the Tell Your Story collection, and it is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I could have created for weeks with this kit! The colors are stunning, and not my usual colors, so it was nice to play with!! Well, I use teal a LOT, but not in combination with a peach/coral color.
Anyway, enough talking... time to show you what I created!! :)

Love You Card and Gift Box

This I think is my favorite that I created. I ADORE the frame! It was part of the Teresa Collins paper! I fussy cut around it and adhered it to my card with a bit of foam to five it dimension!! Then I created a gift box to go with it using Spellbinders Square Bracket Box die set!!

A Moment In Time

This simple card kind of came about by accident! :) I had my stripes lined up to adhere across, when they went all askew on me... I kind of liked it!! So I played around a bit more and this is what I ended up with! A happy accident! :)
I love depth to my cards, and this one is no exception. Although the basic shape is rectangle, I still popped them using foam for that extra definition.

The Meaning Of Life

I just could not go without creating a scrapbook page with this kit. There are so many beautiful patterns! And the cardstock stickers amke creating SO easy!!

In creating this page, I used some chipboard frames (I can NOT remember the manufacturer of these... possibly Creative Imaginations???) One I left plain and inked lightly. The other I covered with newspaper print paper from Teresa's kit. I applied Xyron Mega runner adhesive to the chipboard and stuck the paper to it! Then I cut out using a craft knife! So easy! And I love the look!!

Creating with Zva Creative

Good morning!!!

It's me again... honest!! I know... BLOWN AWAY, right? So many posts in one month!! And all in a matter of a week! LOL! Like I mentioned... I was having some big issues and now that those are resolved and Blogger let's me IN... I have SO much to share with you all!! :)

I had the privilege of playing with some FANTABULOLUS Zva Creative goodies recently!! My good friend, X-Roomie (Spellbinders Retreat, '11), and fellow designer ,( who JUST happens to be the DT Coordinator for Zva Creative) had some yummies sent my way! Thank you Windy Robinson!! SQUEEEE!!! I'll admit, they arrived at the beginning of the summer... I've been adding them to projects here and there. LOVE THEM!!....

      **LOVE LOVE LOVE**

If I had my way, I'd have flowers and blingy bling on everything I create! LOL! but, being Mom to 1 girl and 4 BOYS... I can't create EVERYTHING this way!! :)

So today's post is to share with you what I created using just a bit of the Zva Creative goodies sent my way. There is still a LOT of stuff waiting to be used... and I will be sure to share with you as I create. A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to Windy, Carolyn and Zva Creative for the goodies! You sure made this gal happy! :)

2 of these projects I have already shown on my blog, as they were created for other things. But I am going to share them again here, with the focus now being on the Zva.

ON YOUR SPECIAL DAY

These 2 cards are brand new... never seen before... EXCEPT for the beautiful graduates that I gave them to! :) I created these to give to my niece and friend for their High school graduation. Let me show you some close-ups!

Both of these cards were created with the same design and supplies. I changed the focal shape using my Spellbinders Die templates from Floral Ovals in this one, to the Splendid Circles in the second. I also used a different color to accent... here's it's the green Zva crystals and green blooms.

The second card is the same but uses black pearls from Zva, and orange blooms.

Details...

I think black pearls make my absolute favorite flourishes!!! They go with EVERYTHING and are always the perfect touch!! Just like in this scrapbook page that I created and shared previously.

And a closeup of the pearls.... I just love that they can be cut apart as well and used to create whatever design you like!! I often split a flourish... call me stingy! LOL!

And my final project is from yesterday's post... I created this adorable little gift envelope using more gorgeous Zva crystals as the finishing touch!!

FOR YOU GIFT ENVELOPE

These little flourishes are an example of cutting them apart. This small package holds 2 small flourishes. I cut each in half and made my own arrangement, to fit my project!

So there you have it... just a small sample of what Zva Creative products can do for your projects!!

Xyron and ClearSnap : Day 4

Hey there!!
Welcome to day 4 of the Xyron and ClearSnap partnership!! This has been SO much fun!! If you have not been following along, stop by the Xyron blog to find out the details!!
Today I have 4 projects to share with you... I had SO many more fabulous and fun ideas, but time ran out... kids needed meals... laundry needed doing... you know how it goes! :)

For my first project, I want to show you my absolute favorite. I can't take credit for the idea... as I seen it done on Kazan Clark's blog the other day. When I seen it, I had this lightbulb moment... "I HAVE to do that for the blog swap!!!" I thought!! So, right after breakfast, I got at it... it was done in 1/2 hour. Seriously... it's SO quick!! Check it out...

Chevron Stamped Candle

It totally looks like the stamping is directly on the candle, but it is not! :) Here's the basic how-to. For more details, stop by Kazan's blog and see her fabulous tutorial.

1. Stamp background stamp onto tissue paper. Trim to height of candle. Lightly tack in place with Mega runner. Repeat with using as many piece as needed to cover candle.

2. Heat with heat gun. This will melt the wax beneath the tissue paper. The paper will stick to the candle and disappear. It's really quite cool to watch! :)

Then decorate as desired!! I adhered 2 strips of thin white lace using my Xyron 1.5" Create-a-sticker. Then diecut some gold foil paper with my Spellbinders Foliage dies. Add a spray of flower centers and a premade flower and you're finished!! I usually make my own flowers with Spellbinders dies, but I wanted this to be fast... and it was!!

FOR YOU Gift Envelope

This little gift envelope was created using Spellbinders die template, LF-007 Hexagon Petal Envelope. Here are a few of the details...

*Cut/emboss envelope using ivory paper and Spellbinders Grand Calibur machine.

*While still in template, spritz with ClearSnap Smooch Spritz in purple (Not sure of exact color name). To keep spray light, hold far away from paper. For a heavier and deeper color, spray closer. Let dry, remove template. I lightly inked the edges using distress ink at this point.

*Apply a light touch from the Mega runner to the tip of each "petal" of the envelope and fold in, tucking one under the other.

*Next I created 3 blossoms using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms collection. While they are still in the die tempate, I dabbed a sponge into some of the Smooch Spritz and stenceled thru the template. Remove and roll flowers. I lightly added a touch of the purple to the edges of the flower petals. I cut a leaf as well and stenceled using Fluid chalk in OLIVE. Adhere to box using hot glue. Add Zva jewel flourish and a small tag. (NOTE: I even stamped using the spritz!!)

Again! Very simple and quick!!

You Are Simply Amazing

This final card has a fun technique I want to share with you quickly... I used a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities template. If you are not familiar with these, they are double sided embossing folders! Double the fun!! Anywho... I rubbed ink directly onto the embossing folder... in   a bit of a rainbow pattern... I know it's faint in the photo... as I used pastel colors to keep it soft.  If you look close, you will see the change in colors. Once I have the ink applied, I inserted the paper and closed the embossing folder. Using the Grand Calibur machine and rasberry embossing plate, I embossed the paper. When it comes out, it has a beautiful embossed rainbow. Very cool!! Then I added small dots of smooch.

Xyron Teams up with Quick Quotes

Thanks so much or stopping by today! I am so excited to be able to share with you a project done for Xyron in partnership with Quick Quotes!! I absolutely ADORE this paper collection!!! It's called Cherry Truffle! It's completely perfect for fall!!
The following scrapbook page was created using this collection. The photo is of my beautiful sister-in-law and her hubby... who just happens to be my handsome brother! :)

In creating this page, I loved that that photo was in Sepia tones! Perfect! And remembering back to the day of their wedding (A beautiful September day) the colors in this collection work so perfectly with the colors of their special day.

To create this page, I matted the papers using black cardstock. I love how it helps give contrast. I ran my ribbon thru my Xyron 1.5" Create-a-Sticker and scrunched it along the botton of the houndstooth paper. You never have to worry about this ribbon coming loose with this powerful adhesive! And I LOVE that!

All of the large pieces of cardstock and patterned paper were all run thru my 9" Creative station. I love the strong hold and edge to edge adhesive that this gives me. Just be careful that you place the papers where you want them... cause they stick fabulously!

Of course I had to add some Spellbinders™ die templates to perfect my page!! I used the new LF-015 Grand Decorative Circles One, and S4-310 Labels Eighteen. The decorative circles was cut using Art Engraving board with Copper core... then lightly sanded to expose the copper.

The beautiful ribbon is also from Quick Quotes and coordinates so well with this line!! And those beautiful pins are made by the talented Darsy Bruno! And the black flourish is by Zva... I just adore their flourishes!!

Julianna Hudgins design team work!

Hello everyone! Today I'm here to share with you two projects that I did using Julianna Hudgins  die templates! The first is in my blog post on Julianna's blog today! I have used her new die template set from Spellbinders called S5-143 Jewel Flowers and Flourishes! SWOON!!! ADORE this set! Check out this simple elegant card that I created...

Next, I have a special project to share with you. I had originally created it for my first blog post with Julianna... only both of my posts for June were postponed due to Spellbinders blog frenzy and then for Julianna's new website changeover!! So I waited an extra month to be able to share! I wanted to use the new dies for my post, so I decided to share the first one here! :).....

Here is my original post I had written for that!!

Today I want to share a bracelet that I made using the LF-013 Jewel Goddess set. I had SO much fun creating this project!! Check it out!

Wild Thing Bracelet

To create this bracelet I cut the baby Goddess out using clear shrink plastic and Spellbinders (TM) Grand Calibur machine. Once it was cut, I punched shrunk it down in the oven at 250 degrees for about 5 minutes. While it's still hot, I like to put it under a heavy book or something to make sure it cools nice and flat.

Once it's cooled, I ran it thru my Xyron 5" Creative station. This is an adhesive machine that applies adhesive from edge to edge. Once it has adhesive on it, I stuck a piece of Zebra print patterned paper to it,(Momenta) with the pattern facing the plastic. The great thing about this adhesive is that it is clear, and edge to edge so you can not see it thru the plastic! Very cool!! OK, once the paper is stuck down good, I went around the edges with a craft knife and cut away the access paper. I then lightly sanded the edges using a sanding block to smooth out the edges. Finally I added a coat of Making Memories glitter glaze, just to add a little sparkle to it!! From this point, you can use this beautiful little Goddess for anything you want!

I chose to make it into a bracelet! I added some fun and funky chain that I found and adhered the Goddess to it using some Artistic Wire. Such an easy project, but it has gotten me SO many compliments!

I hope this will inspire you to create some fun charms using shrink plastic and Jewels fabulous dies!! :)

Hi everyone! Are you enjoying your summer!?!? I know we sure are around here! The blog's been quiet, but my house sure is not! :)
Today I am here to share a card with you that I created for the partnership of Trinity Paper Arts with Xyron!
I received the MAKING THE TEAM paper collection. The colors in this kit are so pretty, even if the theme of "sports" is not my strong suit! So, what did I do? I took the paper completely out of context and created this little beauty! :)

In creating this card, I used my Xyron 5" Creative station as well as my Mega runner! I adhered the flowers with a glue gun and the @Spellbinders dies with foam tape!

The die template is fromSpellbinders new Summer Release! Isn't it a beauty? And one of my favorite stamp sets from Rubber Cafe!

Opperation Write Home with Xyron and We R Memory Keepers

Good morning all! I am so thrilled to have you here! If you have never been by my blog before, please stop by my sidebar and follow me!
Today I am pleased to share 3 cards with you. These were made for Opperation Write Home week... in partnership with Xyron and We R Memory Keepers!  What a fantastic combination!!

When I received my box from Xyron with the WRMK papers... I fell immediately in love with this one particular collection. So much so, that I created all 3 cards from it!! I would have duf into the other 2 collections as well, but time was not on my side. They will come... just not for today!! So a special THANK YOU to WRMK for providing us with such beautiful prpducts to work with!! You Rock!!

Ok, so here we go.

Card #1... I Simply Adore you

For this card, I began by using a brand new release from Spellbinders Paper Arts! LF-015 Grand Decorative Circles One. OH MY!!! LOVE IT! Classic Hearts, Classic Scalloped hearts and Bitty Blossoms also. A strip of lace and my trusty Xyron adhesives. I used the 9" Creative station as well as my 1.5" Create a Sticker for the lace!

Card #2... Beautiful

This second card also features Spellbinders dies. But I don't think I can even create without them now! LOL! I used Picot Edge Circles here as well as Grand Labels Twenty Three. Add some lace and premade flowers (GASP!! ). I stamped the sentiment from Just Rite Stampers and inked thru the die template after cutting and embossing. To achieve the white outline on the card base, I sanded the embossed areas. Love the look! Again, I used my 9" Creative station and my 1.5" Create-a-Sticker on this. I added the sentiment piece with foam squares and the flowers with a hot glue gun!

Card #3... A Little Birdie Told Me...

This final card also uses a new release from Spellbinders... Their new Card Creators! Check it out here. I also used the premade diecut from WRMK... isn't it adorable? Add a border from Antique Frames and accents, a bow and a couple of pins and this card is quick but adorable! Held this one all together with my Xyron 5" Creative station and my Mega Runner!

What a month!!

Elegant Embossing with Miss Arts

Hello... hello... hello....
Is that an echo I hear in here???
It seems like it's been FOREVER since I've blogged!! This time of year is so busy! End of year dance recitals, piano recitals, birthdays, school trips... not to mention working my bootie off getting projects ready for CHA and upcoming reveals!! Wow!! It's been a blur!

Final WOW post...

Hey everyone! I am here to share with you my final post on the WOW blog! The time has come for me to explore some other fun opportunities that have ome my way! Yo've seen me announce them... and i'm sure some f you thought "How is she going to do it all???". Well, I'm not superwoman, so something has got to give! LOL!
Today I have a fun and colorful card to share with you.
In creating this card, I used the following WOW colors...
WOW Bright White
WOW Suzy West Cotton Candy
WOW Suzy West Sour Lemon

I just love that these colors show up so bright and clear on black cardstock! I used my Spellbinders® Impressabilities® (GI-002 Butterfly Garden Grand Impressabilities) btemplate on the black paper. I embossed it in my Spellbinders Grand Calibur™ machine first. Then, leaving the template in place, I applied my Versamark ink. After removing the template, I sprinkled one color at a time until all 3 colors were on before heating. I just love how bright and cheery it came out! I also diecut the butterfly using Spellbinders LF-006 Wonderful Wings, and added the powder in 3 colors here as well.
I hope that you will try combining your embossing powders to create a beautiful rainbow effect on your next embossing project! It is SO much fun! Wow!! :)

Motherhood and time management...

Good morning all!!
My post is a little bit late for Mothers Day... but I decided to share it none the less. Why is it late? Because I was busy being a Mama. Sure, I could have taken some time and written up a blog post. But I figured it was more important to not be on the computer this past weekend. It is time for some changes in my life.
You see, I have a problem... I tend to hide from my responsibilities sometimes by playing on the computer. No, I don't play any games on it... and I don't do message boards often... But I do facebook, pinterest, blogs and things like that. And it sucks SO much time. I'm not talking about the things that I need to do, or checking into facebook occasionally. I just do too much... without wasting time explaining, let me just say that I'm making changes. My kids get home from school at 3:00... so just before then, I shut my computer down. It doesn't come back on until they are in bed. Why shut it down? Why not just stay away from it?
Because I just can't. It is an addiction I'm sad to say.
So, I have decided to make some drastic changes. That being one of them! :) And I like it! I hope to be more productive with my time online now and get things done that need to be done! Not just waste my precious time doing nothing... while one of my  beautiful children stand at my leg waiting until I am done reading someone's blog post, or pinning something on pinterest. Shame on me...
The reason I am sharing this very personal struggle here on my blog, is because I know that many other people struggle with this same kind of thing. I hope to encourage you... let's not waste our time doing nothing... lets enjoy these precious moments... because as we are constantly being told... time goes by so fast.
I am not cutting out my creative time... because that is my job, and does not take over my entire life. There is also a lot of paperwork that goes along with that... it must be done! But all that will be done during designated times... and all the other time that was being wasted is going to be reduced drastically.
Being a Mom is an amazing gift. It is not always easy... actually is seldom easy. But it is a blessing none the less. I don't know why God chose me to be the mother of these 5 beautiful and healthy children. I feel so unworthy and so incapable some days of doing a good job. But it is my responsibility to be the best mom I can be. That does NOT mean perfection... It just means loving them with everything that is in me, and realizing that I have them in my arms for a short time. In that time, it is up to me to teach them how to live life... how to act and react... how to practice self discipline and self control. I have not been doing a very good job in some of these up until now.
So I am praying that God will give me strength and wisdom... discernment and patience... and that HE will make me into the kind of mother that my children need...

I want to leave you with a card that I made for my Mom for mothers day. It's late too... but she will get it and know how special she is to me...

This card took me 10 minutes to make!! I started with a card base from Kaisercraft... it has the scalloped border and black design already on the card! I used one of Spellbinders™ M-Bossabilities™ (ES-005 Enchanted) to emboss the top portion. I added the ribbon by running it thru my Xyron 1.5 create-a-sticker and adhered it to my card. Then I tied on the bow. I added a bit of yellow to the embossed areas (which my hubby kindly told me looked like I splattered mustard on it... ;) ). I die cut S5-086 Bitty Blossoms using Melissa Frances Crepe paper and added that to the center of the bow. 2 stick pins, and a ribbon banner with MOTHER on it and this card was good to go! So simple and quick... but bright and cheery just the same!

The talented and fabulously Fabulous Julianna C. Hudgins has decided to begin a design team.  You can't even begin to IMAGINE my surprise when I received her email, asking me to be a part of her dream... Speechless... in tears... and so unbelievably EXCITED! How could I NOT say yes!!

For those of you who are not familiar with "Jewels" let me share a bit about her... She is a designer for Spellbinders... she has come out with her own line of die's which she calls "Positively Me". You can find them on the Spellbinders site if you'd like to see more.
She is also a GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional Jewelry Designer, Author, On Air Talent, International Teacher. But besides all that professional stuff... she is adorable. She is the kind of person who makes you excited... she is real, she's fun, and she is encouraging. I am so pleased to have a friend like her... and I am extremely honored to be a part of this adventure of hers! It's sure to be an amazing ride!! :)

I have been playing around with her Jewel Goddes dies and shrink art! Working on potential Mothers Day gifts... (yes... procrastinate is my middle name!) I am not finished, but I wanted to share with you what I have so far... it's so much fun!!

This is a piece of white shrink plastic.I diecut it using the "baby godess" die template. After it was cut, I stamped using a variety of stamps from Jenni Black (script), Sparkle N Sprinkle (butterflies) and Unity (Heart). Then i used my heat gun and shrunk it down! Then I added some metallic gold alcohol ink, some gold Stickles and a touch of white gel pen! I have to say that I LOVE this piece! I found this old strand of beads literally laying around the floor... we had gotten them as part of a costume at a thrift store! I think I'll be re purposing them and using them with this piece! They go so well together! A bit of wire... a few beads... :) Makes me want to head to my studio!! :)
Here is a shot that I took to show you the die template... and how much it actually was reduced in size...

Isn't that FUN??? If you have not played with shrink plastic... you will have to give it a try! :)
I also want to quickly share with you another piece that i started... I used the larger "godess" die for this one... it is bigger of course, but still shrunk down so sweet! I used the same techniques as for the above one (different stamps) . But I allowed my alcohol inks to sit differently... check it out..

I can't wait to make this into something fabulous!! :)

So there you have a taste of what is to come... It has been an amazing few weeks and I am SO pumped about what the next year holds!!
