Oh man!!! I am now in the final 2 in the Creative Idol competition at just Cre8!! Catherine from Scrapbook and Cards Today just contacted them and offered a prize package from Imaginece to the winner as well!! Now I could win that plus the 3 month DT term at Jc8!!! OH MAN!!!! My LO is done... I'm just too afraid to load it! LOL!

Technique Tip

Have you ever used corrogated cardboard on a LO? This is my new addiction! It looks so cool! If you like dimention and texture, then you have to try this!
Take a piece of cardboard from a box or whatever... tear off the top layer. Using a tool of your choice,(scissors, tweezers etc) tear the layers between the bumps. Then clean it off and add some paint for texture! Layer under a photo and bang, you have a photo mat that is full of dimention!

Oh man!! I have so much that is new, I hardly Know where to start!!


** I am so thrilled to say that I was chosen for the design Team at Scrapbook Sussies!!! WOHOOOO!!! It is a montly kit club that has absolutely gorgeous kits! Her kits are like 2 in one! They have 2 themes! I love that! I can't wait to get my first shipment! It will be Dec and Jan together... so it'll be SO much fun!!! I also get some great deals... so that's a nice bonus!! **Thirdly, i'm going to a scrapbooking yardsale on Sat! Just decided that last night... I'm setting up a table and selling a bunch of my older supplies and stuff! I've started going thru some of it and MAN I have a lot of stuff I don't use! It's time to purge!!
**Then Next Saturday, I'm going to a crop!! YAY! Paws On Scrapbooking is having it's Santa's Workshop day! I would love to be taking the classes, but I just can't afford it right now! So I'm going to just go scrap for the day! Fun!!

Paper Jam Studio Designs

I finally got my work done for Paper Jam Studios! i have been dying to dive into the kit and just got to finish with it this weekend! It was AWESOME! I love the piggie tales lines... and I got to work with the Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater line! Kathie Marie had everything from that line in the kit, along with some 7 Gypsies ATC cards and a Junkitz ring to make an altered project. I had a blast! Here's what i came up with! Hope you enjoy!


And here is the minibook I made... Each page has one of the Barn Doors on it and behind the doors is journaling as to each of my 5 blessings of 2007... My family! I'm having so much fun with the minibooks lately! :)









And last but not least, here is the LO I did for Just Cre8... Round 4 in the Idol contest. The challenge was to use a min of 5 photo's on a LO... 2 of which must have 2 or more people in them! EEK! This was tough for me... where I like to do 1 phot' LO's! :) Great challenge though, and I'm reasonably pleased! it got me thru to
Round 4 anyway!

i also want to say a HUGE thank you to Those who have been voting for me at Just Cre8! I am depending on you all! :) This week will be super tough... and I'll need each and every vote! This was actually the last one I did... using just the scraps! It's different from my usual style... a bit more free, but it was fun!

This was done for the first Round of Bad Girls as well. i added a few things from my stash.. but had so much fun working with a 8x12 pic!


Our Altered item for Oct was a We Are Memory Keepers Recipe box! I LOVED this!! I want more!!
And finally a card,... It was a fabulous kit! Scrnic Route Ashville line was out paper!

hey there! Let's try this again! i had a nice long post ready this morning and the power went out! GRRR! So, I'll try and remember all i wrote!!

*Here is my Oct DT stuff for Paws on Scrapbooking! The second LO was done using up some scraps.. it's kind of out of my style... but it was fun! DH asked if i was trying to be messy? LOL!

Ok... never mind! Blogger will not allow me to load any pics tonight for some reason! So I'll update on the news... the post the pics of my projects tomorrow i guess!

*I made it to Round 4 in the Top Designer contest at Bad Girls kits. The challenge was white space, which i love. i was not happy with my LO but ran out of time. So i expected not to make it thru... disappointing though, knowing i could do better!

*I am now in a contest over at Just Cre8... we're in Round 3/6! To make it thru to the next round... i need votes! I'm not a huge fan of those kind of contests... but i'm in it and am working hard to win!! So... remember that Saturday's is vote day! Come vote for ME!! :) And a huge thanks to those who have been voting! I owe ya! ;)

*I had a wonderfully scrappy day yesterday! Scrapped much of the day! Tomorrow is a cleaning day for me... I SO badly need to spend a day cleaning this house! Wed is my scrappy day! i get to play with my Piggie Tales kit from Paper Jam Studio!!! Wohooo!! Can't wait!

Round 3....

Ok, I had fun with Round 3 of the contest... here's the project I did for it... Very out of my element, but I was very happy with it!



I chose to use oblique lines... which are lines that go neither vertical or horizontal, but lines that show movement. The swirls are symbolic of the breath/wind used to blow the bubbles. The actual bubbles in the photo are cut out with a craft knife and mounted on 2 layers of chipboard. Then there are bubbles throughout the page! It was so fun!!

AND... I just got the Round 3 results back... I DID IT!!! I made the honor roll again this week!!!!! There are now only 74 in the contest!! I'm SO excited!! Can't wait to find out what's the next class!!! I'll keep ya's posted! :)

I'm in!!

Round 3 here I come!!! I made it into the third class at Badgirlskits.com!!! They LO's this time around were incredible!!! I'm thrilled to be moving on!! They cut something like 22 and there are 110 left!!

This weeks assignment has to do with Design elements... Very fun! Some ideas floating around in my head... We'll see what comes of it!

I also got an email this week from Paper Jam Studio... I was chosen for theit Design team a few weeks ago. They wanted us to do 1 kit. Now they want to know if we're willing to do more! Yell heck yeah!! :) Bring it on!! LOL! So I'm really looking forward to working with some of those kits soon too!! My term is until the end of the year... Can't wait to get it started!!

Round 2... Texture and Dimention

Here is my LO for Round 2 in the Top Designer contest at Badgirlskits.com. It was a fun assignment! Make a LO showcasing texture and dimention.


For dimention, I used buttons as a frame for my photo, chipboard, layers of paper, lots of ink, layers of Prima flowers and a big brad. My photo is mounted on a piece of chipboard for added depth and dimention. My title is on a hand cut chipboard heart and this was put on using pop dots. I chose papers with great depth to them as well.

To add texture to my page, I used a cool cordory brad as my flower center and 2 types of ribbon, one velvit and one satin.

I'm very pleased with this assignment. I wanted to create something eith lots of texture and dimention, while still staying true to my style. I'm very happy with the result!

Yay!! Bad girl moving on!

Yay!! I'm in a HUGE contest at Badgirlkits.com It's an AMAZING site... the talent there is blowing me away! Anyway, this TOP DESIGNER contest they have going on had 195 people in it! WOW! They teach a class each Thursday and we get an assignment. This week it was on Color Theory. This is the LO I did for it. And.... I made it to the next round! I was kind of suprised though! They cut 40... And the projects created were amazing! Anyway... I'm thrilled to be moving on! I don't expect to make it very far, with the amount of talent found there! But i'll do my best and see where that gets me! Can't wait to get the next assignment!! This afternoon we should find out! Wish me luck!!

Yippie! I'm so excited!!! I just got an email from Paper Jam Studios saying I have been chosen for their design team!!! It's a cool gig, cause they only do one month terms! I'm not sure what month yet... or all that it intails, but I'm just super pumped that I was chosen at all!!! Sumertime Overview

Wow! Summer is just about over already! Where has the time gone to? Oh well... it was fast, but also another great summer! I did manage to get a bit of scrapping done! Note sure how, but I did! :) I also have some exciting news!! I was accepted to be a member of the Paws On Scrapbooking Design team!! It's an online store/message board found here... http://www.pawsonscrapbooking.com The cool thing is that it's in Quispansis... which is only 45 minutes from here!! I got the chance to meet most of the rest of the team at a staff party last week! Very cool and so exciting!! We just got our second kit from them... and they ROCK!!! YIPPIE!!!
