Here's my story!! :)

I was home with the kids after they were in bed... and this unknown # shows up on my phone... Honestly I thought it was my nephew from out West calling to tell DH about his recent engagement, So, I didn't answer. i was waiting for DH to get home so they could talk! And then the call came again... I ignored it. Then the third time, DH was home... i said GET THAT... IT'S FOR YOU!! "Yes she is... just one minute please..." It was for me? Then my mind started going... within 10 seconds I was off the couch and flipping out!! (That's quick for me at this point in pregnancy! LOL!) "You're joking me!!??" I stupidly said. "Yes, this is a joke... we like to call people and get their hopes up and then tell them we're joking!" she said!! ROFL!!!

I am SO honored and amazed to be among such a list of incredible talent!! Special WHOOT to Erika Taylor... my fellow Magistical Memories team member and fellow Canuck!! Congrats!!
Marci... THANK YOU for sharing about this call at myStampBOX!! Amy, Ellen, Jing Jing, and Lynda... also fellow DT members for MSB or MM... Congrats on the Guest DT spots! You will ROCK it!

Tracy said we could scream it from the rooftop today... but with my steep roof AND my baby belly... I'll have to settle for here.....
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Thank you Tracy and Mark!! :)

OK, now I promised a RAK....
I am 25 days from my due date... meaning I really have about 2 weeks or so... And I have NO baby names chosen! I need ideas! Here's what I'm looking for...
I would like BOYs names that starts with J..... Not your common everyday name, but nothing too wacko either....
Here's how to play...
*Join my blog as a follower,
*for each J name you suggest, I'll enter your name in for a fun RAK!!
It's a baby and celebration RAK!! I have some fun PRIMA goodies to add to this RAK too!! Even if I don't choose your name suggestion, you are entered just for playing along! :)
Deadline is May 7....

So, that's my post for today!! :) Hope to have some scrappy goodness to share with you soon too... but nothing yet! :)
Have a great week!!

Be Real

When Basic Grey came out with the Porcelain line, I just had to have it! And yet I have hoarded it and used it very little! This LO called for it... and I'm thrilled with how it worked on here! This photo was taken on DD's first day of grade 2 in Sept 09. I just love the sincerity on her face...

BE REAL
This page is inspired by the sketch of the week from Capture these Sketches by Guylaine. I LOVED this sketch! You have to check it out!! Remember to send in your version using it for your chance to win as well! See details on the sketch blog!! We used die cuts from our April Sponsor which was Kustom Die Kuts. That is where the heart came from! Thanks Ally!
In creating this page I made my own flowers using more papers from the porcelain line! They
are so easy to make, and yet SO adorable!! As a base under the flowers, I used this chipboard shape from Magistical Memories... I inked it using green ink and added stickles to it to give it some shine! Adding the handmade flowers and some Prima leaves finished it off perfectly!!
As a final touch to my page, i just couldn't resist adding something to the top left of the page! i decided on using a seal stamp from the SEAL IT stamp set from myStampBOX. I stamped the CUTIE/Sweat pea seal (using the same green ink as on the chipboard) onto white cardstock and cut out using a circle punch. I layered that over a scalloped circle. Added a few other goodies to finish it off and voila!! My page was complete!!
Supplies:
**PP, diecut stickers, bling: Basic Grey ** Stamps: myStampBOX **Alpha: American Crafts Thickers **Button: Jenni Bowlin
**Ink: Tsukineko, Ranger **Chippboard: Magistical Memories ** Stickles: Ranger ** Diecut heart: Kustom Die Kuts ** Butterfly punch: Martha Stewart **Leaves: Prima **Adhesive: Helmar
**Paper Doily: Dollar store

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Your comments are always such an encouragement! :)

26 days to go until baby #5 is due... AHHHHH!!
Stop by tomorrow for info on a baby related RAK! :) Until then.... Happy Scrapping!!

The Change

I have turned into an emotional wreck this past week!! Just look at me and i cry... No reason... all is well... just all teary eyed! Dh and I get laughing about it... I'll cry just out of the blue and then get to giggling at the same time! LOL! Gotta love that final stretch of being preggers! :)

That is what inspired this LO... my oldest DS is growing up into SUCH a fine little man... he has changed to much in the last year it just blows me away! He such a big help...so responsible and helpful..... sniff sniff... I'm just so proud of him!!

The Design of this page is taken from the April sketch from Magistical Memories... I turned it onto it's side and it took on a life of it's own! I was also inspired by the work of Karola... this girl is my scrappy idol... every piece she creates is an amazing work of art!!! incredible! I just love her use of liquid pearls!! :)
I used the chipboard corner bare naked as an embellishment over my title... I could use this particular piece a million times and never grow bored of it!! It's one of my favorite Magistical Memories pieces!!

THE CHANGE
The chipboard frame under my photo was just a plain piece of chipboard. I ran it thru my cuttlebug using the distressed lines cartridge. Then I ran some brown ink along it. After mounting my photo on it, I tore it to make a "somewhat" circle... then inked the edges in black to give it a real aged look... LOVE the result with this page!!

Remember that tomorrow is the last day to be entered in for a Magistical Memories RAK from me... Go here to see!!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye, Pink Paislee, Prima, 7 Gypsies
Chipboard: Magistical Memories
Flowers, leaves, lace and ferns: Prima
Liquid Pearls, distress ink: Ranger
Pearls: Basic Grey
Alpha: Pink Paislee, American Crafts
Cuttlebug: Distressed lines embossing cartridge
Adhesive: Helmar

Lilly Bee goodies

Hello my scrappy friends!
I have a couple of projects to share with you using Lily Bee goodies! I just love their Audrey line!!!
So here's a quick post to share these with you... created a little bit ago...

SO THIS IS LOVE

This page is of my sister and her fiancee at the time... they are now married and expecting a babyin October!! Congrats sis!!!
I had fun distressing and folding and tearing this paper... so elegant and yet so fun to distress!!
True Beauty
No, I'm not struck on myself nor do I think I'm a striking beauty... LOL! This page is more about the beauty on the inside that we all need to be reminded to strive for... I had a lot of fun with the design on this one!
Baby update: Today brings me to 5 weeks left of being preggers..... AGH! I'm the size of a house now, and if I don't stop growing I'm going to need a tractor trailer to take me to the hospital when the time comes! :) I feel SO HUGE!!! Feeling fine though... very tired... aching back... you know the way it goes! :) Looking forward to being not pregnant.... not ever again! 5 times is enough for me thanks! LOL!

This week was my turn to post on the myStampBOX blog!! I created a sketch and a LO using some of their fun alpha stamps!! Drop by and check it out!!

Gotta run! Snuggle time with DH and a movie! :)

Happy Scrappin!

Adored...

ADORED
This LO is of my neice and my littlest man... he was about 9 months here. My neice adores the babies, and I just love this photo pf the two of them... so natural and real...

This LO is based on a sketch by Calia Yang, for Let's Capture These Sketches Sketch # 31. Our sponsor for the month of April is Kustom Die Kuts by Allison Cope! The white flower border came from her! So easy to use and so beautiful!!
I also used a butterfly stamp from myStampBOX... I just received this set and am in LOVE!! It's butterflies... what else can I say!?!? I added some stickles and liquid pearls! :) Yummy!!
And finally, I had to use a piece of chipboard! No LO feels complete without it lately! So I used one of the hearts from the nesting hearts set from Magistical Memories. I sprayed it with glimmer mist and added some liquid pearls for dimention! :)

This page is about DD's first day of school for grade 2 and the anticipation she felt as we waited for the bus... I love this pic of her! :)

Here's a bit about Lynda...

Hi, my name is Lynda Lindley and I live in the beautiful state of Washington with my husband and two girls. I have been a papercrafter for over twenty years now; starting out as a stamper and moving into scrapbooking and other areas. I love ink and don't seem to be able to complete a project unless it is included on it somewhere. I draw inspiration from everything around me and tend to craft "in the moment" a lot without a plan other than to have fun!
Thank you again for this exciting opportunity!!!

So close...

Hey everyone!! It's officially spring!! YAY!!!!!

In honor of spring arriving, I have a very spring like project to share with you today!!
On this project I used 2 of the Magistical Memories New Releases... the fence and the heart tree! LOVE these!!!!

This was my altered project for the So You Think You Can Scrap contest.... 2 votes... that's all i needed... but alas, I came in second place. Honestly, i'm still as pleased as punch about it... I didn't expect to even get that far in it! I am so thrilled for Melissa Mann who won... and for Stephanie Hart who came in 3rd... all were amazing projects!! Thank you to those who supported me thru the contest and voted for me in this final round! :)

I chose to create a little house for my altered project. I began with a Creative Imaginations House minibook. I took 2 of the chipboard pages, cut off the chimney and used this for the front and back sides of the house. The rest of the house is made from scraps of chipboard, and is my own design!

In order to create a real 3 dimentional project, I adhered the house to another piece of chipboard and created a front yard to go with it! Magistical Memories chipboard was used for the fence and that adorable tree, and I used a Prima vine and some mini roses to complete the look!

I painted the fence white and wove some vines amongst it. The tree was painted with 2 shades of glimmer mist and layered over some patterned papers.

I'll be ordering me a bunch more of those fences! Just way too cute!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

and HAPPY SCRAPPIN'!!

And don't forget to get your sketch LO completed for the Magistical Memories March sketch challenge!! You could win some fun chipboard yourself!! :)

Retro!

So, if you've been following the So You Think You Can Scrap contest at LCOM, you know that week 8 challenge was RETRO! WTH??? I was SO out of my element with this one!! But, that's what a challenge is all about, right?

Anyway... When i showed DH my page... this was the conversation we had...

Me: Look, here's the page i did for the Retro challenge...

DH: Oh no!

Me: What do you mean?

DH: It's just kinda......

Me: No, I know it's not really my stlye...

DH: THAT shouldn't be ANYONE's style!! ROFL!!

LOL!!!!!!! And so the conversation went... LOL!! He could see the retro in it... but just figured the 3D look was a bit over the edge... right... but wrong... ROFL!!

Anyway, here is my page... WARNING... it is WAY out of my comfort zone! LOL!

SHAKE YOUR GROOVE THANG!

The good news is... I MADE IT TO THE TOP 3!!!!! WAHOO!!! There were 6 who had to do the Retro challenge.... and 3 went on to the final scrap off!! i was one of them!! I'm SO pumped!!

Now, for the final scrap off... we had to create an alterd item... using a flower, bling and some purple!!
It's due tonight... mine is submitted... and the results are posted on Friday... I'm happy with how it turned out!! I'll show it to you when i can!!

Another project to share with ya...

Family Photo

This final shot shows some Magistical Memories chipboard that I used! I ADORE this chipboard!! For this page, I sprinkled it was BRONZE glitter from PK Glitz... a partner company with myStampBOX!! This bronze color worked fabulous with this page!!
The roses are handmade... I think I'm hooked on these now! i want them on everything i do!! LOL!
The design for this page was inspired by a sketch by ZOE, our GDT for Let's Capture These Sketches! The leaves and berries on the left are stamps from MAGENTA ... Our MARCH sponsor!!
These photo's were our Christmas shots this past Christmas... It was such a busy season, that it was Jan 7th before i had time to do them! LOL! Better late than never, right? :)

Thanks for stopping by!!
Remember to play along with the Magistical Memories March Sketch... you could win some FABULOUS chipboard goodies!!! See my post about it here...

However... here is one I did for the SYTYCS contest... Week # 7, and i'm still in!! The top 11 right now! WOW! These LO's ROCKED this week!! The challenge was to do a LO using this quote... "Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forward.”

in 2010 Just Do It
(sorry for the photography of this LO... I had the WORST time trying to get things to look straight when cropping it... so I decided less cropping was better...)

What's new?
First off... a Happy 3rd Birthday to my middle little man!!! How fast the time goes!!
Happy Bday Little Man!! I sure do love ya!!! xoxoxoxox

Secondly, I'm still in the So You Think You Can Scrap contest over at LCOM! The last few shallenges were doozies!!!

Challenge #4... EDGY.... Take that word and create a LO inspired by it... Here is what I came up with...

I am not exactly an edgy scrapper, but i had tons of fun with this page!! Not edgy in subject... but i tried to give a more edgy feel to the page... I had a blast with the painting and such... it was inspired by Rebecca,... her style is often more edgy than mine! :) Thanks for the inspiration Rebecca!! :)
supplies: Random paints **PP by My Minds Eye **Alpha's: Pink Paislee, American Crafts, Jenni Bowlin ** Extra's: Heidi Swapp Chipboard Stars, Ranger Stickles, buttons by BG and Foofala, bling by Kaiser, Zva and Heidi Swapp ** Maya Road Mist

Challenge # 3 was PLAYFUL!! That was a fun and easy one for me!! That is my middle DS's middle name! LOL! He is the comedian of the family, so there was no question as to who this page would be about!! Yes, he's today's birthday boy as well! :)

I had a lot of fun with this page as well!! Came together so quick!! i love this pic of him... he;s sucha funny little guy!!!
supplies: **PP: Basic Grey, 3 bugs in a rug **CS: Bazill **Alpha's My shoe box, Bo Bunny, Junkitz **Embellies: Buttons by FooFaLa, SassafrassLass butterfly, BoBunny chipboard, unknown sequins

Today is also my post day for the My Stamp Box Blog!! Drop over and take a look... I created a sketch... i used it again for the LO above as well!! :)

Before i go, i have to mention... did you check out the New Release at Magistical Memories yet? if not, you have to go now!!! They are ready to order!!! I am (im)patiently awaiting for the mailman to bring my goodies!! :) The chipboard is to die for!!! What are you waiting for... go check it out!!

I guess that's it for now!! I have another LO to share after Friday... the 5th SYTYCS LO... the subject is All About Me... It turned out alright... got to use my FAV paper line of the week... BG's Origins!! :)
So until then... Happy Scrapping!!!
