Scrapbook Sussies Sept Reveal

Here I am... EARLY!! Can you believe it?? I can't! LOL! Fomr some reason the pic of the 4th LO disappeared... and my batteries are dead in the camera... so I'll show you 3 for today!

Have I ever mentioned how JAM PACKED these kits are with embelishments? I didn't even get to use everything on these 4 pages! Lara PACKS these kits full of stuff!! rubons, chipboard, flowers, bling, alpha's... WOW! You'll not be sorry!!


First "BOY" Friends: Yes, this is my 6 year old with her boyfriends! Twins! Man... ?!?!
I use the My Little Yellow Bicycle line for this one. SO many fun coordinating goodies! I added extra journaling on the pull tab behind the pics. I had more to say and it just wouldn't all fit! So what's new about that eh? :)

Crazy for You: I used the September sketch at Sussies for this LO. It was created by ME this month!! This is one of my alltime favorite photo's by me! It's my DD and DS... LOVE it! Used the MME Penny Lane part of the kit for this page.

9 Months: This is my fav for the month... at least it was before I added all the journaling! Sheesh... But it is the most important part of the page, so I had to add it. Gotta figure out a way to say lots and not take up so much space! Wish i had better handwriting cause I could have added it by hand... but it would REALLY have ruined it then! LOL!

Well, that's probably it for me for a while... I have to get some work done around here! LOL! My Mom is coming for a visit on Wednesday as well, so I'll be away from the scrappy table... maybe! :)

New page and a sneak!

Alright, so i gave you a few sneaks last week and then didn't reveal the LO... so here it is!! Still debating whether i should add a bit of journaling or leave it... i don't want to overdo it eh? I get frustrated with photographing LO's... you just miss out on so much detail and texture! So my goal now is to showcase as much of the texture and detail as I can... Anywho... here it is! :)

And here is another sneak... I'm making a minibook for/about by dear Hubby!! I'm so happy with how it's turning out! I'm making it entirely from scratch, and it's so pretty... so far! :)

So there you are!!! And I did it... I sent in my submissio to Upsy Daisy!! AHH!! Excited that it's in!! :) Thanks for your kind words girls! You're such an encouragement!! :)

So I'm off to scrap some more! Working with the September Scrapbook Sussies kit! My little Yellow bicycle and Penny Lane by MME! Fun stuff!! It should be up around the 1-2nd!! So, until then!!

Upsy Daisy Submission

I'm a little hesitant to share this... Not sure why, just a bit unsure i guess. I am really happy with how it all turned out, i just think that compared to many of the applications it's not going to look like much. however... that being said... i did do it and am pleased with it! So, here it is!!
First one: Of my baby boy... he's such a cutie!
I tried to show my simple side with this one... simple and circle... 2 of my favorite things... and of course journaling strips!! :)

Second: Went with a romantic classic look here. Hand made the flower... and did some fussy cutting, This is my sister's engagement photo's... taken my Jason McNeil Photography. Ht did an AMAZING job!!!

I think this third one is my favorite! SO me right now!! Lots of white space, distressed and yet simple. Love how it turned out! Kind of unique I think! :)

Well, there it is!! And to be honest... they are taking 3 designers? What are the chances? But ya know what? I'll NEVER get it if i don't try, right? And I am happy with these projects, so that's the main thing, right? It doesn't hurt to hope that THEY like them too! :)

BTW, I haven't sent them in yet... doing that once i get some better detail shots of #3... sos if you have any thoughts or advice, now's the time!! :0

Capture These Sketches #7

Hey there!!!
Here is my latest Lo, done using a sketch by the talented Calia Yang over on the Capture these sketches sketch blog!
i turned the sketch upside down! LOL! I had fun adding some stickes and dimentional pearls to the Pink Paislee here! I'm getting hooked on stickles lately!!





i have some other new projects to share with you soon... I finished my application stuff for the Upsy Daisy DT call... so I'll try and post them soon. I'm happy with it, but pictures NEVER do it justice, which is so frustrating!! Grrr!!

I know, I know... I still haven't posted the LO I gave you a sneak of... I honestly have not finished it! With the heat last week... man! Today's the first time I scrapped since i last posted!!! i have decided to give the Upsy Daisy DT a try... Not sure why, as the talent that will be applying is sure to be outragious! However... you just never know what theyare looking for, and therefor... I shall apply! i adore their stuff, so I'm going to give it a try!! Nothing to loose, right?

And the My Stamp Box DT call... I really hope to give that a go as well!!! :) So many great opportunities out there!!

Mon Ame Memories July Reveal

Talk about working backwords eh? LOL! Well, call it what you like, I call it finished! hehehe!

Now, to be honest, when I seen the papers in this kit, i thought I was going to struggle to make them work for my style... but ya knw what? i did all 3 of these projects in one morning! WTH? i think that's a new record for me! And I like them!! LOL! I still have a minibook that I'm making with some more of the stuff... cause I hardly used anything on these pages!!

Anyway, here is the kit... it used October Afternoons Road Map line... I know, many of you LOVE this line, but I thought I'd struggle... come to find out, I LOVE IT TOO! :)


And here are my projects...
Sights of Home: This photo was taken on the ferry ride to PEI... my home, where i grew up. This pic bring me back... and I just had to scrap it. Kept it very simple... but I LOVED working with the Bazill swiss Dots cardstock! A new addiction I can see!!
Destination FUN: Had fun with this LO... i used the grid paper ro help keep my 2 inch distressed squares straight... Like the simple business of this page.
This Journey of Life: Ithink this is my fav of the 3... NOT because it is of me! LOL! But I had fun with the design here... and the journaling is SO what I've been feeling right now... I just gotta suck it up! :)

Scrapbook Sussies August Reveal

As promised... here is the stuff i made using the August Kit from Sussies.
i tell you, this kit was JAMMED full of embellies! SO much to choose from... there is more than you even see in my LO's as i didn't get to oncorporate it all.... if you're not a sussies subscriber... look into it! If you love fun and funky stuff... this is the kit for you!! Check out the kit that i got to work with here...

And without further adu... my August projects!!


This is just a really simple page I did using the Fancy Pants line. I wanted to keep the emphasis on the photo and keep the color scheme simple. The added red helps to give it some flavor! :)
(Excuse the glimpse of magnets on the edges... the page got warped a bit by the humidity... it's been INSANE lately!! LOL!)

This one I also did with the Fancy Pants line... adding some Basic Grey Lime Rickey goodies to the mix. It was so much fun doing this one! Bright colors usually scare me, but I love how this turned out, regardless of the bright colors! :) I think I might be converting... hehe!!
This Third LO Summer Getaway was a super quick LO using the August Sussies sketch by Kristine Davidson. Not my favorite LO I've ever done, but they can't all be, eh?



And for my final project, I made a minibook using the Cosmo Cricket Snorkle line!! i love how this turned out, and it took me less than an hour!! I made the book itself from scratch and just had fun piling the chipboard embellies on it!

And that concludes my August reveal for Sussies!!! Seriously though, if you love embellies and animated scrapping, this is a must have kit! Lara is fabulous to deal with, and every kit is 2 sided!! This one was Fancy Pants and Cosmo Cricket!! SO much fun!!
And Septembers kit is to die for!!! It's sitting in my scrap space calling my name... but you'll have to wait to se more of that! I'll give you a hint though... these paper lines...

Scrapbook Sussies July Reveal

Yes, July... It took a long time for me to get the kit, and then to get the LO's done... they've been done for a week or 2, but I'm just now getting to post them for you!!

It was a fabulous kit... One half was using the Prima Mommy and Me line... the other was using some fun Cosmo Cricket goodies!!

So here they are... i struggled with the Cosmo Cricket... it's very much out of my comfort zone, but it is a good thing to stretch yourself once in a while right? LOL!!


I used the July sketch for this first LO... The sketch was designed by your truely! Very different style for me, but fun for a change! This is DS starting to roll over... Still can't believe he's that old!!

Another LO using the Cosmo Cricket... This pic of DS makes me laugh! Looks like he's trying to fly away! LOL!



LOVED LOVED LOVED working with the Prima Mommy and Me line!!! I love anything prima as you can tell!! I added the bling and the flower to the Sussies kit to complete this LO.




My silly DS... He loves getting his pic taken, and I love taking it!! :)

Well, look at that now, This kit was perfect... i did one LO for each of the 4 kiddos! LOL!
