Spellbinders Design Team, 2014-15!!!

I am SO thrilled to be able to share with you all that I have been chosen to be a part of Spellbinders Design Team for 2014-15!!

As you may know, I was part of the design team for just over 2 yrs, then transferred to the Inspiration team! Having designed for Spellbinders for 3 + yrs has been SUCH a huge blessing!! There are a lot of changes taking place within the company. Change is  not always easy, but it is a necessary part of life. So I figured my time there was over. But now to have been chosen to continue on, well, I'm just unbelievably thrilled!!! To say the least!!
Stop on by Spellbinders blog to see who else is joining me on this journey!! There have been 4 designers already announced... and there will be... a few more... announced after me! So be sure to stop by the blog each day to find out who will be inspiring you in the months to come!! I know I am beyond THRILLED to be working with them all!! Both the "oldies" and the "newbies"!!
Thank you SO much for all of our support in the past!! To make sure you don't miss anything happening, please be sure to subscribe/follow my blog and to my You Tube Channel as well!!
I'll leave you with a Scrapbook Page that I created for Spellbinders And was featured on Scrapbook Soup this summer! Just one of the amazing opportunities I have had with Spellbinders! :) Enjoy!!

Thanks again!!
Until next time,

Blog Party coming up, and a project to share!

Yes!! You see it right!! Spellbinders is having a blog party!!! Be sure to stop by the Spellbinders blog to see all of the rules and details!!!  I will be taking part, so be sure to stop by my blog and see what I've created for you! :)

While I'm here, I want to share a project that I created for Spellbinders as part of my Design Team Term.

While sitting on my scrapbook table, this photo of my daughter got lightly speckled with white paint. While trying to get it off with no success, I decided to go with it! I added some paint speckles to the page… it worked!

I cut strips of paper and adhered them to the page with lots of machine stitching, in 2 stitches, straight and zig zag. I used the entire set of charm dies to create a fun banner. The journaling is computer printed, cut into thick strips and them machine stitched as well.

Julianna C. Hudgins Design Team!!

I have been holding this secret for a couple of weeks now... and I know it's been driving some of you crazy that I've been so secretive! :) Sorry, but I just could NOT spill...
Until now!!
The talented and fabulously Fabulous Julianna C. Hudgins has decided to begin a design team.  You can't even begin to IMAGINE my surprise when I received her email, asking me to be a part of her dream... Speechless... in tears... and so unbelievably EXCITED! How could I NOT say yes!!
So... I did! And here I am today to share this exciting news with you!!
I am one of the designers for the
Julianna C. Hudgins Design Team!!!
SQUEEEEELLL!!!
For those of you who are not familiar with "Jewels" let me share a bit about her... She is a designer for Spellbinders... she has come out with her own line of die's which she calls "Positively Me". You can find them on the Spellbinders site if you'd like to see more.
She is also a GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional Jewelry Designer, Author, On Air Talent, International Teacher. But besides all that professional stuff... she is adorable. She is the kind of person who makes you excited... she is real, she's fun, and she is encouraging. I am so pleased to have a friend like her... and I am extremely honored to be a part of this adventure of hers! It's sure to be an amazing ride!! :)
Besides myself, Jewels has also asked the following designers to be a part of this team...
Holly Simoni
Kazan Clark
Heidi Blankenship
Judy Hayes
Lesley Langdon
Savannah Starr
Jeremy Bright

I have been playing around with her Jewel Goddes dies and shrink art! Working on potential Mothers Day gifts... (yes... procrastinate is my middle name!) I am not finished, but I wanted to share with you what I have so far... it's so much fun!!
This is a piece of white shrink plastic.I diecut it using the "baby godess" die template. After it was cut, I stamped using a variety of stamps from Jenni Black (script), Sparkle N Sprinkle (butterflies) and Unity (Heart). Then i used my heat gun and shrunk it down! Then I added some metallic gold alcohol ink, some gold Stickles and a touch of white gel pen! I have to say that I LOVE this piece! I found this old strand of beads literally laying around the floor... we had gotten them as part of a costume at a thrift store! I think I'll be re purposing them and using them with this piece! They go so well together! A bit of wire... a few beads... :) Makes me want to head to my studio!! :)
Here is a shot that I took to show you the die template... and how much it actually was reduced in size...
Isn't that FUN??? If you have not played with shrink plastic... you will have to give it a try! :)
I also want to quickly share with you another piece that i started... I used the larger "godess" die for this one... it is bigger of course, but still shrunk down so sweet! I used the same techniques as for the above one (different stamps) . But I allowed my alcohol inks to sit differently... check it out..
I can't wait to make this into something fabulous!! :)

So there you have a taste of what is to come... It has been an amazing few weeks and I am SO pumped about what the next year holds!! You will be seeing so many different things from me... way more than just scrapbooking and paper crafts! So if you're looking for a fun ride... subscribe, follow or check back often! It's going to be awesome!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I look forward to inspiring you in the days to come!!
Until Next Time...
Happy Creating!!

Spellbinders Design Team... Year 2!!

I know... the announcement was made almost a week ago! Does it seem like I'm not excited?...
NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am BURSTING with excitement yet again to share that I have been asked to continue on with Spellbinders and be a part of their 2012 design team!! The competition was extremely difficult! With everything taking place over Christmas, everything with Dad's illness PLUS all of the CHA work... It was a real challenge! However, I adored each and every project I submitted! I guess they did too...! :) WHOOT!!
Unfortunately I am not able to share any of my projects for the competition with you. They are being held for possible publication! Exciting!!
I would like however, to share with you a layout that I did for Spellbinders for CHA. This is a page about my 6 yr old Sammy. It's bright! It has no flowers on it! So it's a little different for me, but having 4 boys and only 1 girl, I have to break out of my elegant and romantic mode once in a while to scrap something fun and funky!
